How do I enter the "FREE TUNES" promotion?

It's easy! Just follow these simple steps to participate:
1 – Purchase a specially marked Energizer Recharge, Advanced or Ultimate Lithium pack during the promotional period
2 – Visit www.energizerbatteries.com.au and follow the link to the 3 FREE TUNES promotional page
3 – Enter your name, email address, product barcode, unique code along with the requested details and click ‘start downloading’ to be taken through to the Energizer library
4 – Browse and preview the songs available for download
5 – Download the 3 tracks of your choice
6 – Grab another pack and repeat. Remember, you can only claim 3 free tunes per battery pack purchased

Do I need an email address to participate?

Yes, your email address is needed as part of the online registration process. We also need your email address to send you confirmation of the 3 free tunes you have downloaded. It is very important you enter the email address correctly.

Do I have to be a certain age to participate?

No. Downloads are open to all ages and all Australian residents that have purchased a specially marked Energizer battery pack.

Who is eligible to participate?

Residents of Australia only.

How long does the promotion run for?

Energizers 3 FREE TUNES website will go live at 9am AEDST on 02/11/09 and closes 11.59 AEDST on 06/01/10. You will not be able to redeem your 3 free tunes once the promotion is closed.

What is available on the website?

Once you enter Energizers music library you can then browse through 2,000 tracks to find the song or artist of your choice. After your downloads are complete you can then browse through Energizers website to find out more information on products and other promotions.

How can I download a track?

Use one of the many different methods on the site, to search one or more tracks that are of interest. Once you have found a track that you would like to download, then click the ‘add to list’ button. Once you have chosen your 3 tunes you can then click download at the top right hand corner.

What is the Verification Code for?

The Verification Code is a code made from text and is found on the entry form page. Typing the characters from a text box helps ensure that an actual person is completing the Registration form so this serves as a security measure.

I am concerned about getting unwanted emails from registering with the promotion.

You will only receive emails from Energizer if you opt in to receive more product information on the Energizer website. The only emails you will receive will be to confirm your redemptions / downloads.

Do I have to purchase an Energizer product to enter the promotion?

Yes. For each entry you make you need a separate unique code to validate your redemption. If you do not purchase a participating Energizer product you will not receive an on-pack sticker with a unique code.

Which products are participating in this promotion?

The promotion is available on specially marked Energizer Recharge, Advanced or Ultimate Lithium packs only.

Where can I find my unique code?

Your unique code can be found on the reverse side of your on-pack sticker (found on the product pack).

I can't enter my unique code.

Please check the following:
Check the numbers and letters in the code carefully.
All letters must be in upper case.
If you are having trouble with an O, or 0, make sure it is not a D or vice versa.
If you are having trouble with a U, make sure it is not a V or vice versa.
If you are having trouble with an H, try a K or vice versa.
If you still cannot enter the code after several different attempts, please contact Consumer Services on Contact@getmusic.com.au.

I can't read my Code - what do I do?

Energizer does not accept responsibility for codes that cannot be read due to the way the wrapper has been opened. If your code is illegible due to a genuine printing problem, please return the on-pack sticker to:

Please include your name, email and full address details, and a replacement unique code will be sent to you.

How many times can I enter a code?

You can only enter a code once, after which it becomes invalid. Repeatedly trying to enter the same code will result in your code being frozen.

How can I start downloading music on the site?

You'll need to buy at least one specially marked Energizer Recharge, Advanced or Ultimate Lithium pack, and then redeem the unique code printed on the reverse of the on-pack sticker (found on pack). Once you have a unique code you visit www.energizerbatteries.com.au and follow the links to the 3 FREE TUNES page. Once you enter all the mandatories in the entry form you will then automatically be entered into the FREE TUNES library where you can browse through 2,000 tunes! Once you have found 3 tracks that you would like to download, just click the Download button, and then the download will automatically begin. You will then be sent an email confirming the 3 tunes downloaded.

My download failed half way through. Can I download the same track again?

Yes, you can. Any track that you "purchase" using a unique code can be downloaded multiple times. The actual number of times you can re-download the same track will vary from track to track. But it will be at least five times.

How many tracks can I "redeem" all together?

You can redeem a maximum of three tracks per product. If you wish to redeem more than 3 tracks you will be required to purchase another battery pack and revisit the website.

I downloaded a track, but don't really like it. Can I give it back and download another?

No, unfortunately this is not possible. Once you click the Download button and confirm your tracks you will not be able to change your choice. Please make sure you like the track before downloading it.

Is there any limitation as to where and how often I can play my downloaded tracks?

No none at all. The tracks that you download are high quality MP3 files, which have no limitations placed on how often you play them or on how many different music playing devices

What is the file format of my downloads?

All digital downloads are MP3s, with a bit rate of 256kps. The files are compatible with most software including Windows Media Player and iTunes, and many portable devices, including iPods.

How do I choose where to store my download on my PC?

Click on the ‘Download’ icon and a new window will open. Click on the button ‘store’ and choose the folder in which you would like to save the file. Your songs will download as MP3 files inside a ZIP file. Once downloaded, unzip the file to your music folder.

Can I burn my downloads to a CD?

Yes, songs can be burnt onto a CD. Simply access the files you wish to transfer to CD and follow your individual software instructions to burn via your computer hardware.

Can I transfer my downloads to an MP3 player?

Yes, you can transfer to an MP3 player. Simply import your MP3 files into the software you wish to use (such as Windows Media Player or iTunes) by selecting the files and dragging them into the open window. Once the music has been transferred into the player, follow the individual software instructions to transfer onto your MP3 player.

Can I refer a friend to the promotion?

Certainly! You will be asked if you would like to refer 3 friends once your 3 FREE music downloads are complete. If you refer up to 3 friends you will go in the secondary prize draw to win 2 music CONCERT tickets!
